Chantry Football Tournament

20/2/2008

Thursday:

Our school football team played in the 3rd annual Chantry Football tournament. The other schools that played were Abberly, Hallow, Grimley & Holt, Broadwas (us), Lower Broadheath and Martley ( A and B teams).

We played 3 matches to decide if we went through to the semi finals:
*

But unluckily, we did not go through because we didn't score in the last match to win. We were 3rd in our group when we needed to be at least 2nd to qualify! Try again next time...

Also, before half term, we played a freindly against Hallow but we again lost 3-1. But Mr Hodgkins, our Manager, and the Hallow Manager, Mr Morris, thought that we played excellently and were well behaved the whole time. Even though we were sad about losing, our spirits were lifted when we were given drinks and biscuits (yay!!!) And we have been told that we are expected to do another match in the near future.

*We will post photos and the fixtures of the tounament soon.

Who are the Broadwas jounarlists? Your sports reports are great - can we see more on the blog from you and others to give us an idea of what life is really like at Broadwas School and not just sport reports?

Great to hear you played excellently and were really well behaved - thats the most important thing. Besides, drinks and biscuits are always the best bit about matches.
